Wow that is great news. Take a CPR class and make sure every caregiver for your children have taken a class as well.

When I first became pregnant with my daughter I kept telling myself that I would take baby CPR and first aid. But then I got really pregnancy (i.e. huge) and tired, and then the baby came and I was overwhelmed and tired, and then time just flew by. When I first met Tali Orad, my daughter was almost one, and I still hadn't taken a CPR class. But after a brief five minute conversation, Tali was so passionate and engaging that she inspired me to sign up for a CPR class immediately. My husband and I scheduled a class starting the following week, and we were so glad we did. We learned life-saving information and feel grateful for Tali's passion and knowledge.

I know of 2 good friends that have actually saved lives using CPR on young children. One is Tali, who created this site - we know both Tali and the little boy she saved. The other is a good friend of mine who has twin girls and when they were just a few weeks old, he went into their room to check on them while they were sleeping and found one of them was blue and not breathing. He immediately called for an ambulance, but then started CPR based on the course that he had taken, and he managed to get her breathing again. The paramedics then took her to the hospital and today she s a gorgeous little 2 year old!

Congratulations for taking the CPR course and for having the presence of mind to remember and use the skills you learned. Your story illustrates the reason why CPR Teddy was developed (www.BabyAndChildCPR.com). So many times, when there is a breathing emergency, people forget what they learned in cpr class because they never have an opportunity to practice their skills. CPR Teddy encourages parents and child caregivers to practice so they can ACT in an emergency instead of panicing. Please, Readers, don't postpone taking that CPR course. Mrs. T is the greatest example of why all parents should take the course - even before the baby is born.

NEVER leave child unattended when eating. REMEMBER - if they are done, take the bib off and get them off the high chair. http://www.freep.com/article/20100123/NEWS06/1230302/1001/News/Cops-Baby-likely-choked-by-apron
